IMO DCS
Since March 1st 2018, the IMO Fuel Oil Data Collection System (IMO DCS) is globally applicable to all vessels above 5.000 GT. Similar to EU MRV, each vessel has to submit monitoring plans (called SEEMPs) and emission data for assessment or verification, respectively. From 2023 onwards, IMO DCS is extended and includes the so called Carbon Intensity Indicator or CII. This CII is increasing the reach of IMO DCS from a mere compliance topic to the sphere of commercial vessel management, as particular rating thresholds have to be kept.
Our Service
Swiss Climate as an accredited verifier for MRV in maritime transport assesses the monitoring plan in the SEEMP and verifies the emission reports of your ships. After a positive assessment or verification, Swiss Climate informs the respective flag state and forwards the emission data to the IMO.
MRV Cockpit
Our innovative MRV Cockpit offers you a structured overview, one central channel of communication and audit-proof documentation of all IMO DCS-related aspects of your fleet, including CIIs based on data reported and verified.
