Officially Accredited
Swiss Climate EcoCare GmbH was first accredited in 2017 by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) as a verifier under the EU MRV Regulation for maritime transport. Since then, we have gradually expanded the scope of our accreditation to meet the growing requirements of both regulatory bodies and the voluntary market.
Today, we are accredited as a validation/verification body for greenhouse gases in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17029:2020, ISO 14066:2023, and DIN EN ISO 14065:2022 in the following areas:

Area Regulated by Law
As an accredited verification body for EU MRV and EU ETS in maritime transport, we evaluate your vessels’ monitoring plans and verify emissions reports at both the vessel and company levels. Swiss Climate EcoCare GmbH also issues Documents of Compliance for the respective vessels.
The FuelEU Maritime Regulation, which took effect on January 1, 2025, aims to promote the use of low-carbon and renewable fuels in shipping. We support you in verifying your greenhouse gas data and issue certificates of compliance to ensure that your ships achieve the phased reduction in emissions by 2050. With our expertise, we guarantee reliable implementation of the requirements and assist you in optimizing your sustainability strategies.
As an accredited verification body for the UK Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) system, we review monitoring plans and verify the emissions reports for your vessels. In addition, Swiss Climate EcoCare provides you with the relevant certificates from a single, centralized source.
Standardized voluntary section
The ISO 14064-1 standard provides organizations with a uniform method for quantifying and reporting their greenhouse gas emissions at the organizational level. It focuses on the emissions and reductions resulting from the activities of the entire organization. We verify your greenhouse gas inventories to ensure their accuracy, transparency, and credibility and to demonstrate this to third parties. The ISO 14067 standard addresses the carbon footprint of products throughout their entire life cycle. It takes into account emissions along the entire value chain. Here, too, we verify your greenhouse gas data to ensure its reliability and transparency and to confirm this to third parties.

Area Regulated by Law
As a “Recognized Organization” for major flag states, we offer you a simple and efficient way to have your plans assessed and your emissions data and CII verified under the IMO DCS. Once verification is complete, we will contact your flag state and forward the necessary information to it.
Standardized voluntary section
The AA1000 Assurance Standard (AA1000 AS) was developed to enhance the reliability and quality of ESG reporting. Swiss Climate EcoCare GmbH offers assurance services, thereby strengthening the trust and confidence of stakeholders—such as investors, rating agencies, and customers—in your ESG data.
